Customized Programs, French as foreign language

Group stay

Objectives

  • Linguistic training in a francophone environment;
  • Awareness of francophone culture in North America;
  • Awareness of the intercultural differences (values, communication, customs).
  

Typical week

  • Classes in the morning (3 hours);
  • Sociocultural activities in the afternoon and evening;
  • Social integration in family life.

Linguistic training

  • All levels;
  • 1 teacher / 12 students;
  • Oral competency (communication, vocabulary).

Sociocultural activities

  • Supervision by an animator/guide;
  • Sightseeing, rally, folk music, museum, cinema, maple syrup excursion, etc.

Cost

  • 1 week: 850 $ CDN / participant.
  • Longer stay available on request.
  • Price varies on participation (ratio/class, activities and bus transportation).
  • Included: room and board, courses, activities.
  • Not included: transportation to Quebec, insurance and personal expenses.
Registration

STEP 1 The person in charge of the group must fill out the registration form directly on the screen, and then send it to us by e-mail. The person in charge of customized training will contact you within 48 hours after receiving your form so that we can process your request.
STEP 2 Print the following documents and make sure that the students' parents fill them out. The PDF (world-wide standard) format is readable directly on your screen with Acrobat Reader software and you can install it for free.

STEP 3 Send all the documents for registration (step 2) by mail as soon as possible.
STEP 4 There will be a written placement test before your arrival; it will be sent to you by e-mail. On the first school day, the teachers will validate your placement test and together we will make the necessary changes.
STEP 5 One (1) month prior to the arrival of the group, send us a cheque equivalent to 20% of the total amount in Canadian money and payable to: Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier. This payment is non-refundable.

The balance must be paid once you arrive in Quebec.
